NDS’ market leading solutions on display at SCaT India
2008 include:
NDS XTV DVR technology: The XTV DVR solution from NDS is the
industry leader, successfully deployed in over 13.1 million homes
worldwide. NDS XTV lets subscribers decide when they watch content
and allows them to choose and build their own personal playlist.
XTV allows subscribers to pause, record, play back, rewind and
fast forward their TV programmes, giving consumers freedom and
flexibility, and delivering to pay-TV operators a market-proven
way to grow revenues and reduce churn.
NDS Master UI: Master UI is a next-generation user interface
for digital television. It is a GUI designed for Convergence
and can be used on TV/STB, PC, mobile phones and personal media
players (PMPs). Its main benefit is its innovative, intuitive
design which allows programming to display while enabling easy
navigation through the wealth of choices available. This single
interface can be used to record content to the DVR or other devices,
move content between devices, download, buy content, etc. The
Master UI also keeps track of content wherever it is, and includes
sections for synching devices, VOD and internet connections.
NDS Interactive TV (iTV): NDS will be showcasing a selection
of advanced iTV applications that help differentiate a pay-TV
operator’s service. These applications include next generation
interactive games, multiplayer games, and cross-platform games.
